TownePlace Suites by Marriott Bloomington

It’s clean, well cared for. Quiet, unless you’re there around IU games or graduation. Overall, a great value, though I prefer more premium beds/bedding like in other Marriott properties. 170 nights a year on the road, I relish comfy beds!

I couldn't even tell you how many times I've stayed at this hotel. Great location, plenty of places to grab a bite. Literally 2 minutes from the highway when its time to hit the road again. About 5 minutes out of downtown. Our room was nice and clean per usual, staff were all friendly. Definitely one of the better hotels in the area.

The rooms definitely needed a little upgrade/ replacements that especially come with time. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Pool was clean and warm. I noticed a review from 3 days prior to mine about a dog coming at him. That was my dog. And he barked at him. Did not attack. Every hotel has long term residents. It’s a given. I have stayed at a few hotels in the area and this is by far one of the best ones. Will definitely book again when in the area! Also will note the guys door said to pull handle up. Not down. Sometimes people just can’t read. Door wasn’t malfunctioning

I love this place. It makes me feel like I am back at my grandparents house, that cozy feeling I got from those childhood memories. I love how there is a kitchen which is difficult to find in a hotel. The staff here is great. The front desk clerk was amazing. He was such a great guy. Friendly. It's ten minute drive to downtown and right off 66 which is great if traveling through.

This hotel is in a great location and is walking distance to many good restaurants, but this hotel is old. It shows in some of the dishes in the suites being broken, wear in the kitchen, and there were ants that we saw in a few places. I know in the spring ants can be a common nuisance. I don't feel it was worth what we paid.

Despite many low ratings, we found this hotel to be a hidden gem! The staff are super friendly, the breakfast area was kept nice, and while it's an older facility, the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. We loved our stay so much!

Beautiful little place! We stayed for over a week. The only complaint I had was that housekeeping never came by, I had to specifically ask for towels, bedding, and trash bags. But from my understanding, they were shorthanded, and it's not really the end of the world to grab the stuff from the desk. The location is very nice, very calm and quiet. There's even a couple great restaurants right across the street, and lots of nearby shops down the road. My only other complaint would be that the pool was closed the whole time I was there. Mind you, it was too cold to swim, but there were multiple times I wished I could go sit out on the pool chairs and relax in the sun.

Everything was great, very clean. Breakfast was fantastic. The room was a bit humid, and I believe the air conditioner was leaking a bit, but the staff was great about it!
